I have been reading Tim Ferriss' "4 Hour Body". It's a decent, well researched book, emphasizing common sense and rational thinking in diet and exercise.

Starting tomorrow, I will begin keeping a daily picture food diary.

This is one of the recommendations in the book for helping people quantify how much they eat.
